The Citra hops is a high alpha acid hop with a strong, yet smooth floral and citrus aroma and flavor.

It has specific aroma descriptors that include grapefruit, citrus, peach, melon, lime, gooseberry, passion fruit and lychee and a smooth bitterness when added to the boil.

Citra is one of the newest additions to the American hop family. It has created quite a buzz in the homebrewing, and craft brewing worlds.

As its name implies, it is strongly citrus, with hints of pine and mango layered in.

It is sought after for its aroma qualities, but many report excellent results with using it for bittering as well.

An excellent hop to blend in hop bills of American Pale Ales and IPAs.

Citra INCOGNITO Hops USAGE:

Generally a 1:6 replacement ratio.
Usage is 1g/L INCOGNITO in the whirlpool is equivalent to 1.5lb/bbl pellets (5.8g/L).
The maximum recommended dose is 2g/L.

Citra INCOGNITO Hops BREWING TIPS:

– 1g of weight is roughly equivalent of 1ml of volume
– Each 20ml jar is roughly the equivalent of 4oz of T90 pellets hops in the whirlpool
– INCOGNITO is flowable at room temp, but you can wrap it in a warm towel to lower the viscosity and improve portability.
