Chinook LUPOMAX หนึ่งในฮอปยอดนิยมของอเมริกา เป็นผลผลิตจาก USDA breeding program ในรัฐวอชิงตัน โดยความตั้งใจจะผสมพันธุ์เพื่อให้ได้ bittering hop แต่ภายหลังถูกใช้เป็นทั้ง Aroma hop และ Bittering hop หรือที่เรียกกันว่า Dual purpose hop โดยมี character แบบ spicy และ piney ในกลิ่นและรสชาติ รวมถึงมีกลิ่นเกรปฟรุ๊ตอ่อนๆ ให้ความขมแบบคลีน Chinook มีค่า Geraniol ในระดับสูงเมื่อเทียบกับฮอปสายพันธุ์อื่นๆ ซึ่งจะถูก biotransform โดยยีสต์ เสริมให้กลิ่นผลไม้โดดเด่นขึ้นไปอีก
