Life Below – Brit Hood
A classic English Ale strain traditionally used for Bitters, Porters and Stouts, but has also gained popularity for use in American-style Pale Ales and IPAs.
A highly flocculant strain which can produce bright ales in a short timeframe. Will leave some residual sweetness, ideal for accentuating malt character.
Produces fruity esters at elevated fermentation temperatures (21-22°C). A diacetyl rest is recommended at the end of fermentation.
Note that it is normal for this strain to have a clumpy appearance.
Recommended Fermentation Temp: 18-20C
Flocculation: Very High
