Muslin Straining Bag, 15in (38cm)
A muslin straining bag is a convenient and inexpensive way to steep ingredients in liquid when making beer, wine or cider. The disposable bag is intended for one-time use and is composed of strong, all-natural woven cotton.
Muslin Straining Bags Can Be Used For:
Boiling whole leaf hops and other herbs in beer wort
Containing fruit or other solid ingredients during fermentations
Steeping oak chips or other ingredients in aging beer or wine

Length: approx. 15.0in (38cm); stretches to 17.0in (43cm)
Width: approx. 2.5in (64mm); stretches to 10.0in (25.4cm)
Filtering Ability: The holes in the straining bag are between 0.03in (0.8mm) to 0.06in (1.6mm) in size. Ideal for handing solid items where fine filtering is not needed.
Features: One end is open and the opposite end is sewn closed.
Ideal Capacity:
Up to 1lb grain malt
Up to 3oz leaf hops
Up to 1lb of fruit
Usage: Add ingredients to the bag so that there will be enough movement for liquid to flow through. Tie the bag closed in a knot or tie it with a string. Submerge the bag in the liquid for as long as needed. In some cases, weights such as marbles may be placed in the bag to help it fully submerge in the liquid.
